The article reveals the need and relevance of using educational discussion in teaching foreign languages. The main attention is paid to revealing the concept of discussion and its forms. The advantages and methods of working in foreign language classes by using the discussion method are described. The theoretical significance of the work was based on the analysis of domestic and foreign literature on the problem. The practical significance of the article lies in the proposed list of the most effective forms of discussion in foreign language classes.
