Educational-methodical and scientific activities of the professor of the Kiev Theological Academy P. A. Lashkaryov in the field of canon law

The article considers the role of the professor of the Kiev Theological Academy and the St. Vladimir Imperial University P. A. Lashkaryov in the development of the Russian scientific school of Church Law. The methodology of the program developed by the scientist for teaching this discipline for the spiritual and secular educational environment has been analyzed. Studied are the research and methodological approaches reflected by P. A. Lashkaryov in the work “Church Law in its foundations, types and sources. From readings in Church Law”. The influence of political and legal studies of natural-legal, historical and sociological scientific schools on the scientific-methodical activity of P. A. Lashkaryov is shown, and the problematic provisions of the application of research methods of these schools in church law as a special theological-legal science are analyzed. The conclusion is made about the need to apply an interdisciplinary approach in the methodology of studying church law at the present stage of development of this science.
