Plato's teaching about the soul

The article deals with the concept of the soul of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato. In the course of the work, the Platonic understanding of the relationship between soul and body is revealed. The author defines the structure and typology of the soul. In the context of psychological teaching, the abilities of memory and thinking are considered. The main provisions of the doctrine of immortality are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the relationship of Plato's psychology with ontology, epistemology, ethics and social philosophy.
