The article aims to reveal the features and trends of the development of Kazan Theological Academy’s philosophy in the philosophical and theological works of V. I. Nesmelov’s students, who taught at the Kazan Theological Academy in the 1910s. The article reveals the main philosophical and theological ideas of Archpriest Nikolai Petrov, M. N. Ershov and I. I. Satrapinsky. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying incriminating and apologetic tendencies in the context of their relationship to contemporary philosophy. Both the close attention of Kazan thinkers to the works of Russian non-academic religious philosophers, and to foreign philosophers, including those who were critical of Christianity, are noted. The article concludes that the peculiarity of the Kazan theologicalacademic school is the problem of proving the existence of God, as well as the substantiation of these proofs through an appeal to modern scientific knowledge and philosophical trends.
