Specific activity of radioisotopes of different types of rocks of the Malomyrskoye gold deposit and its correlation with their gold content

An attempt was made to identify patterns in the manifestation of radioactivity of beta- and gamma-emitting isotopes in various types of rocks of the Malomyr gold deposit. For each type, the presence or absence of correlations between the specific activity of beta-emitting isotopes 40K, 137Cs and gamma-emitting isotopes 40K, 137Cs, 222Rn, 224Ra, 226Ra, 228Ra, 232Th and 228Th with gold content has been established. The study examined gold-bearing metasomatites, carbonaceous shales and plagiogranites. It has been established that the average values of the specific activity of radioisotopes in metasomatites are lower than in carbonaceous shales and plagiogranites. It has been shown that metasomatites tend to have a negative correlation between the activity of radioisotopes and gold content, and host rocks have a positive correlation.
