Criminal-legal characteristics of the activities of criminal groups committing criminal offences in the sphere of human trafficking and measures to counter them

In the article, the author gives a classification of organized criminal groups committing illegal acts in the sphere of slave trade, suggests the characteristics of persons who are their members, identifies the personal types of this category of criminals as well as the characteristics of sole subjects who performed criminal acts in the form of simple complicity in order to increase the effectiveness of measures aimed at countering the slave trade. The author also focuses on the circle of problematic issues related to the identification of victims of human trafficking, outlines the main factors contributing to the criminal activity of criminal groups involved in the slave trade and also suggests measures to counter them. The conducted research will facilitate the processes of defining, constructing and developing legal mechanisms and methods of investigating the analyzed criminal manifestations.
