The paper examines some features of the criminal-law characteristics of harassment using information and telecommunication networks. It is emphasized that to date there is no clear definition of the crime committed by means of cyberbullying, nor is there any direct liability for such actions. The article attempts to develop all the elements of the composition of cyberbullying. It is proposed to understand actions related to the dissemination of information defaming the honor and dignity of another person or undermining his reputation, committed with the use of information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet, in order to cause physical and mental suffering to the victim. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that currently there is a definite system of criminal acts related to the commission of cyberbullying. The author’s vision is that any such criminal act must contain an indication of the obligatory or additional object of the crime - the public relations for the protection of the individual, as well as the method of committing the crime.
