The article considers the public danger of the sale of state awards of the Russian Federation, the RSFSR and the USSR by persons who possess them legally, the possibility of recognizing this act as insignificant and other options for its criminal-legal assessment. The author makes a proposal to decriminalize this act with the establishment of appropriate administrative responsibility.
