Criminal-legal prevention of drug crimes by using the institution of administrative prejudice

The features of criminal-legal prevention of drug crimes are analyzed in the article. The author substantiates the statement that administrative prejudice can become a fairly effective way of influencing offenders who commit illegal acts with narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for personal use. Foreign criminal legislation was studied as well as the conclusion was drawn of an existing trend towards criminalization of non-medical use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The possibility of establishing criminal liability for repeated use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances in public places and for the appearance in public places while intoxicated on the territory of the Russian Federation is analyzed by the author.
