In the work, the author gave an integrated definition of the concept of criminal procedural law, presents a description of the purpose and principles of criminal proceedings, which consolidate the social significance of this activity for establishing general justice, achieved by legitimate and universal protection of the rights and interests of citizens, society and the state as a whole.
