The given article having a fundamental and conceptual character summarizes activity of one of the oldest pedagogical universities in the Volga region. It also formulates the main aims of university development in the second decade of the XXi century. Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University is considered as a modern, innovative, high-tech educational establishment.
