Ulyanovsk plant named after Volodarsky during the great terror

Since the beginning of the Great Patriotic war we painfully reflect on the causes of large-scale defeats of the Red Army in 1941-1942. There were many things depended on the status of major defense enterprises in the late 30-s. But there is too little information about it. In article the authors try to analyze the work of the Ulyanovsk machine-building plant named after Volodarsky and, in particular, to figure out the degree of influence of unreasonable repression to the fulfilment public contracts.
