Ultrasound examinations of mouth floor soft tissues diseases

Differential diagnostics of diseases of soft tissues of a mouth floor represents one of actual problems of modern maxillofacial surgery and radiology diagnostics. The research objective is perfection of diagnostics of diseases of soft tissues of a mouth floor. 172 patients with presence of pathological changes of soft tissues of a mouth floor are surveyed. Ultrasound examination of high resolution with doppler techniques was performed in all patients. When examining soft tissues of the given region following pathological processes of benign genesis have been revealed: diseases of hypoglossal salivary glands, dermoid cysts, thyroglossal cysts and lymphatic malformations. The analysis of results of the conducted researches has allowed to draw a conclusion that the data of hi!tech ultrasounds can be used as authentic criteria of differential diagnostics of pathological changes of soft tissues component of the given region. Ultrasound research with doppler bears the valuable information for primary and specified diagnostics of diseases of soft tissues of a mouth floor that reduces time of establishing the diagnosis and influences a choice of effective tactics of treatment.
