The proposed scientific article examines the issues of improving the processing of agricultural raw materials to increase the competitiveness of the regional economy, and clarifies their theoretical and practical provisions. The object of the study is the subjects of the agro-industrial sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. Based on the results of the study, based on identifying problems in the field of processing raw materials in the agro-industrial complex, directions for improving their processing in the regions of the country were proposed by creating agro-industrial formations.
