«Smart city» as a promising tool to implement open innovation platforms in urban management

The purpose of this article is to increase knowledge about the integration of an open innovation platform in decision-making processes in the public sector. It proposes a model of an open innovation platform for decision-making at the state level, solving many of the problems of interconnection of state institutions. The article contributes to the literature on innovation intermediaries as well as public sector decision-making in improving innovation. It concludes by presenting an open innovation platform model that helps bring together different decision-making cultures between the public, private, and third sectors in the context of collaborative innovation.
