Smart unregulated crosswalk (within the framework of the conception «smart city»)

Бесплатный доступ

The article describes the use of digital technologies to create a safe pedestrian crossing. An unregulated pedestrian crossing is considered, i.e. a crossing where traffic is not regulated by traffic light signals or a traffic controller. It is proposed to equip the crossing with a device for highlighting the "pedestrian crossing" sign at the moment when the pedestrian is on the sidewalk immediately before the crossing. The device consists of an LED strip, which is turned on by commands from the ATmega 328P microcontroller AVR. An ultrasonic obstacle sensor is connected to the controller.
