Speculating about beauty: at the source of Russian spiritual culture

This paper is a first attempt to clarify some of the contradictory sources and unique character of Russian spiritual aesthetics. The combination of ancient ontology and Christian eschatology in speculations about beauty is presented as the key characteristic of Eastern-Christian spirituality.
