University as public urban space

In this paper, the possibilities of developing the territories of university complexes as public spaces with the purpose of increasing the prestige of the city are considered. On the example of world analogues of universities, modeling of the image of the university in the city, the influence of university complexes on the urban structure are considered. The article describes the methods of creating a public space that shapes the image of the city as an attractive cultural, geographical and symbolic place.
