The management consulting industry is a global market. Consultants help companies in various sectors to solve problems by applying management theory and business experience gained from research by developing concepts, practices and procedures for implementation in the work of companies not only in Russia, but also around the world. The article deals with issues related to management consulting, in particular, the relationship between employees of a consulting company and a client. Management consulting was reviewed not only in Russia, but also in a number of foreign countries, such as the USA and the UK. The substantiation of the need for the transition of the sphere of services in the field of management consulting to the digitalization system is carried out.
