The article discusses the basic requirements for managing the process of introducing digital technologies into the activities of companies. The position of the Russian Federation in the World Ranking of Digital Competitiveness was determined, the level of penetration of digital technologies into the activities of enterprises in various areas of economic activity was determined. The results of the study made it possible to formulate the requirements that are necessary for the development of an effective digital transformation management system in Russian companies.
