The article introduces readers to the system and features of the control of Royal estates in the XVIII century (on the example of the Palace possessions of Kolomenskoye and Izmailovo). In the article, the author identifies the main stages of public administration reforms initiated by Emperor Peter I and continued by Empress Ekaterina II, presents the management system of Palace estates and shows different aspects of socio-cultural and economic life in Kolomenskoye and Izmailovo.
