Revenue management in the hospitality industry: literature review and analysis of trends in research

This article is aimed at studying the research in the field of revenue management in the hospitality industry and identifying the main topics. Methodology of the study is content analysis and literature review. The process involved searching for published articles in the three two online databases of hotel and tourism journals, evaluating and selecting relevant articles, analyzing and summarizing the results of selected works and systematizing the results to determine what is known and what remains to be learned. As a result of the analysis, this study identified the topics of greatest interest to researchers in the field of revenue management in the hospitality. The article identified the main regions for research; top journals in which articles on revenue management were published; segments of the hospitality industry applying revenue management; statistical methods used in conducting research.
