Management of innovative development of an enterprise on the basis of innovative capacity development strategies

Innovations play a crucial role in the long-term prospect of survival of an enterprise, determining its success, as well as maintaining the level of its competitive ability. Innovative activity of an enterprise depends on availability of resources necessary for making changes, enhancing qualifications of employees and their ability and readiness to participate in innovative processes. In order to gain an advantage in the market, enterprises need to use the available material resources and intangible capabilities of the enterprise. Therefore, an urgent task is to assess the innovative potential of an enterprise and to form an innovative development strategy based on the obtained results. The article presents various interpretations of the term “innovative capacity of an enterprise”, reveals the essence of the field approach to the definition of the structural elements of an enterprise. On the basis of the considered field approach, the role and levels of the innovation capacity are analyzed, allowing formulating the development strategies of the enterprise and its constituent elements. According to the expert assessment results, the author proposes measures based on the development strategies; these measures allow improving the efficiency of the enterprise's innovative development. Considering the analysis of the existing methods for assessment of the innovative capacity and the developed strategies for the development of an enterprise, an author's algorithm was proposed to improve the management over the innovative potential of an enterprise. The article presents activities that allow increasing the innovative potential of an enterprise, taking into account the field approach of resource allocation.
