This article discusses the features of the formation and management of an investment portfolio, for the implementation of effective activities, and a positive result of its economic development. The main principles of portfolio formation are noted. The analysis of active and passive strategies of securities portfolio management is carried out. Methods of the considered strategies of securities portfolio management are presented.
