The article substantiates the importance of the quality management problem in the organization. It is shown that the achievement of competitive product quality is a dynamic process and is the result of the functioning of the quality management system in the organization. The evolution of the theory and practice of quality management is presented. The conclusion is made about the expediency of applying a systematic approach to quality management in the organization, its integrating role is shown. On the example of a specific organization, shortcomings in quality management are identified and recommendations for its improvement are proposed.
