The article examines the negative results of the modern personnel policy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the root cause of which is unequivocally called the low amount of funding for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The allocated budget allocations to increase the number of personnel will not change its qualitative structure, workload, and social prestige of an employee of the internal affairs bodies, which means that the personnel units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in general and the personnel units of the Transport Department in particular need to take a more careful approach to the recruitment of linear bodies, without reducing the quality of police officers selected for service.
