The article is devoted to the analysis of conflicts in the tourism industry. The article considers the optimal combination of the theoretical aspects for the prevention and resolution of conflicts from the point of view of the development of peace and conflict studies, as an interdisciplinary science active in the service sector, namely in the tourism sector. The information base of the research includes in the range of literary sources of scientific, reference, official Internet sites. Until now, the actual problem is the conceptual apparatus. Based on this, the paper clarifies the definition of "conflict" and "conflict situation". The classification of conflicts arising in the sphere of tourism, and accordingly to each of the groups identified in the classification of the causes of conflict situations. At the same time, ways of resolving conflicts in the tourism industry are also considered. As well, as emphasize a number of problems in tourism, which in the future may lead to conflicts of socio-cultural, environmental, imperfect legal framework. The recommendations on the prevention and resolution of conflicts in the field of tourism services. Special attention is paid to the role of educational institutions in the success of the functioning of tourist organizations, and hence the professionalism of workers to resolve various kinds of conflicts.
