Labor management in the university: traditions, specificity and modern technologies

In the context of the development of the global information society, the necessity of basing the development of ways to improve labor management in the field of higher education on the digital paradigm is substantiated, which fulfills a set of tasks for the implementation of the strategic goals of Russian higher education, corresponding to its ideology and values. Launching a mechanism based on such a model requires special (requiring development, and not copying from the theory and practice of management and economics) management technologies. Among the applicable ones, we note the project management of labor; the introduction of DICT in the entire set of methods and processes of labor management; widespread use of international recruiting to “refresh” personnel, widespread introduction of KPI technologies, as well as ratings, both in assessing and stimulating labor, building trajectories of horizontal and vertical career growth for teaching staff. At the same time, reliance on the digital paradigm does not eliminate all other approaches, including the ideology of Russian education, the obligation to respect rights and freedoms, including academic ones. In this sense, the digital paradigm forms the theoretical basis of digital platforms on which both traditional and innovative approaches are applied in the system totality.
