The article presents the specifics of the organization and problems in the field of waste management in the Arctic territories, while the author offers the most interesting proposals for the organization of an integrated consumer waste management system in the region. Waste management problems are relevant for all territories of the Russian Federation, since the main principle of treatment used is waste disposal, whereas waste can be used as secondary material resources. The study presents options for waste management with the involvement of business structures and the participation of public authorities and local governments.
