Hardening of high speed steel by dynamic microalloying and its effect on wear resistance of cutting tool

Бесплатный доступ

The application of dynamic microalloying in combination with heat treatment (DMHT) for hardening workpieces of high-speed steel and its influence on properties and wear resistance of the cutting tool manufactured from the hardened high-speed steel was studied. It is established that the steels subjected to DMHT undergo structural changes, leading to change their hardness and microhardness. It is shown that the use of DMHT for hardening workpieces cutting leads to increased life of the cutting tool when working on model samples and production conditions.
