Elastic properties of Sm1-xYxS alloys with mixed valence polycrystals

The elastic properties of polycrystalline alloys Sm1-xYxS (0≤х≤1) with mixed valence are researched under standard conditions. Calculation of elastic moduli, Poisson's ratio, velocity of pure longitudinal and transverse elastic waves, medium and root-mean-square velocity of sound, Gruneisen parameter, as well as characteristic Debye temperature in depence on yttrium impurity concentration is made on the basis of information about stiffness constants сij and density of this mixed system.
