Teachers in the Urals in the conditions of transformations after February 1917

The article is devoted to the process of transformation of the teachers in the Urals after the overthrow of monar­chy in February 1917. The author describes changes of the situation at the field of education by efforts of Provisional government, responses of the teachers in the Urals to February revolution, and also preparation and retraining of the teachers in the conditions of democratization of Russian society. One of the question of the article is the institutional consolidation of the teachers in the Urals between the February and October 1917. One of the most pronounced forms of consolidation of teachers was organization of trade unions. The lack of the teachers in the Urals was serious problem. The development of the system for the teachers edu­cation was important task for the region. The article shows how the process of transformations of Russian society concerned the sphere of education. The topics characterized in the article are discussed in the framework of the territories of Perm, Orenburg and Ufa provinces that were part of the Orenburg school district.
