The level of informatization in territorial tax authorities and the practice of application of information technologies in their activities

The paper discusses the transition to a new stage of development of information technologies in the activities of territorial tax authorities exemplified by the case of the Republic of Mordovia. The current state of the processes of informatization and modernization of the tax authorities in this region is described; recommendations for their improvement are given.
