Living standard of rural population of Khakassia

the article reveals some aspects of the living standard of the rural population of Khakassia. There is a reorientation of the population to employment in other (non-agricultural) activities, mainly in the service sector. Lack of work and low income negatively affects the financial situation of the rural population: every fifth rural people of Khakassia lives in poverty (not always eats his fill). On the one hand, in the conditions of crisis the role of personal subsidiary farm as the main source of income is actualized, but, on the other hand, not all villagers are ready to be engaged in a personal farmstead.
