We studied agricultural techniques for sesame cultivation as a second crop after harvesting of cereals in irrigated lands of the Central Tajikistan. Experiments showed the optimal planting date for sesame is the first ten-day period of June, when second sowing in conditions of the Central Tajikistan sesame seed yield was 1.16 t per ha. At later planting, first and second ten-day period of July, seed yield of sesame is reduced almost two times - from 0.52 to 0.68 t per ha, due to the first autumn frosts, which occur from 20th October till the beginning of November. Accordingly to our observations, almost 40-50% of sesame capsules were not ripened when frosts began as the generative organs stopped to grow. We proved that in repeated sesame sowings after cereal harvest (wheat, barley) it is possible to obtain up to 580 kg of clean sesame oil that is an important nutrition product for the republic. Winter wheat and barley are sowed in October November, and after their harvesting, at the beginning of June we plant sesame as a second crop in order to use reasonable the irrigated lands and to obtain two-three yield per a year.
