The comparative study of the influence of vaccine Immunovac VP-4, bacterial lipopoly saccharides (LPS) and phytohemagglutinin (PHG) on cytotoxicity of human peripheral blood mononuclear leucocytes (PBML) with respect to NK-sensitive K562-cell line of leukemia and Colo-cell line of colorectal cancer has been undertaken. Dose-related effect of poly component vaccine (VP-4), LPS and PHG has been detected. Vaccine VP-4 has been shown to have more marked effect on PBML cytotoxicity than reference-agents of mitogens. Due to the fact that bacterial polycomponent vaccine Immunovac VP-4 containing not only LPS but also other pathogen-associated structures of conventionally pathogenic microorganisms is able to stimulate killer activity of PBML and to inhibit the tumor growth in mice, it can be considered as an effective immunomodulating agent with anti-tumor activity.
