The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of relationships in the parental family and personal characteristics of medical students on their suicidal behavior in order to develop prevention activities. The study involved 140 medical college students aged 18 to 27 years old. Of these, 57 people reported having suicidal thoughts in the present or the past (40.71%). The reasons for such features can be both personal and psychological characteristics and specific social conditions. The students with suicidal tendencies demonstrated the following features - suspiciousness, anxiety, diligence, punctuality, high expression of lack of confidence combined with an emotional "dreary" stress requiring discharge. Harmonious family relations not only contributed to the development of protective mechanisms in individual, but also were a potent antisuicidal factor.
