Conditions and factors for ensuring the quality and competitiveness in the Russian market of congress and exhibition services

The object of the research is Russian congress and exhibition events. Using the method of expert survey and factor analysis, criteria were determined that affect the quality and competitiveness of congress and exhibition events. Based on the synthesis of the results obtained and quality management tools, a methodology for assessing the quality of an event was developed and a model was built in the form of a flowchart of the process of assessing and optimizing quality criteria using hypothesis testing. The obtained results of the study confirm the possibility of measuring the material and emotional characteristics of events, which closes the scientific gap in research in this area. The result of the work is a draft methodology for measuring consumer preferences of exhibiting companies, confirming the relevance of creating a special documented procedure for certification of exhibitions. The documented procedure is expected to be developed at subsequent stages of the study.
