The conditions and mechanisms for the development of deviant behavior

The paper analyzed the backgrounds to deviant behavior and identified the key terms, conditions, mechanisms and development stages of the deviation of the personality. The study highlighted the factors affecting deviant behavior, including social, social and psychological, psychological, biological ones. The authors discussed the basic approaches to and problems of classifying behavioral abnormalities. The paper presented the main results of an empirical study on the essence and structure of deviant behavior. The survey made it possible to identify the main reasons that had an impact on the aberrant behavior of students, the level of their knowledge in the field of the phenomenon of deviation, ways and means to prevent deviant behavior of young people. The study focused on students of higher professional institutions; the students’ identification of deviant behavior, its structure and manifestation in youth environment was the scope of research. Snap poll and focused interview served as the data collection methods.
