The research problem and the rationale for its relevance. Addressing the challenges facing domestic education, including the system of advanced training for teaching staff, cannot be carried out outside the context of the specific features of the overall worldview, our society, and the trends that are characteristic of their development. The existence of such a trend as the intellectualization of society indicates a growing need of the majority of the population for educational activities. This requires the search for special conditions that ensure the effective functioning of all elements of continuing education, designed to provide every citizen with the opportunity for continuous learning in order to meet their needs in intellectual, cultural, moral, and personal-professional development. This problem is most relevant for representatives of the teaching profession, since the one who teaches others must constantly learn, master new methods, technologies, tools, and ways of teaching and educating the younger generation. The goal of this research is to substantiate the conditions ensuring the effective functioning of the system of advanced training for teaching staff of a medical university. Methodology. The organization and conduct of the presented research was carried out through theoretical analysis of scientific literature, surveys, and interviews with medical university teachers - students of the advanced training system for teaching staff.
