The article analyzes the methods and technical means of grinding. Identified their shortcomings. The disadvantage of centrifugal finger mills is that when the hammers interact with the mass, it is not efficient enough, since the impulse that the hammers possess is transferred to the grain mass only partially. In addition, the fineness of the grinding product is determined by the size of the deck holes, as a rule, having diameters of 0.8; 1.0 and 1.2 mm or more. Moreover, the design lacks the ability to smoothly control the dispersion of the output product. When using roller machines for grinding grain, there are disadvantages, such as high cost and the possibility of their manufacture only at specialized mechanical engineering enterprises, where it is possible to implement sufficiently accurate technological processes equipped with specialized metal-working machines and special equipment. The main task of the modernization is to solve the efficiency of work and the possibility of manufacturing the machine at our own enterprise. The introduction into production of an improved grinding mechanism of the mill allows you to smoothly adjust the dispersion of the output product without using a sieve, increase the production volume and improve the quality of the product.
