«Successful woman» in Russian and Chinese worldview (on the dynamics of language in a changing world)

This article discusses some of the reasons of formation of the concept «Successful Woman» at present time in the Russian and Chinese languages. The concept problem is solved on the basis of the dynamic processes in modern global economy. The concept of «Success» in modern Russian and Chinese dictionaries is analysed. The results of sociolinguistic research are given and analysed. Common and different semes forming the concept are described and identified. Nuclear and peripheral zones of the concept are considered. The comparative analysis of the semantic components of the concept «Successful Woman», which function in Russian and Chinese thought, is carried out.
