The article dwells on the problems, which appear in the process of determination and analysis of negative facts in the course of investigation of intentional destruction of property by means of arson. The article studies the most common in practice types of frame-ups of non-criminal arsons, made with the aim of non-disclosure of arson's evidence: intentional creation of conditions for arson, which imitate flame formation on technical grounds, spontaneous inflammation of materials, unintentional violation of fire safety rules, careless handling of fire. The article suggests practical recommendations on determination of factual data, testifying artificial creation or changes in the scene of fire.
