The contents and implementation of 1935 model charter of an agricultural artel (on east siberian materials)

Focusing on the formation of the collective farm system in the mid-1930s, the author examines the content of the Model charter of an agricultural artel of 1935 and its implementation in the villages of Eastern Siberia. The article addresses such issues as brigade mode of production, the transition of collective farmers to piece-rate work plan, the practice of allocating private plots to collective farmers, defining of livestock standards for each farm and preserving of individual farms for individual farmers in a collective farm village.
