Fameninan Ust'kodinka formation (the eastern slope of the Middle Urals): facial and genetic reconstructions

The various authors dispute deposition conditions of the Upper Devonian Ust'kodinka Formation, which significantly influences the understanding of the paleogeographical and paleotectonic situation at the end of Devonian stage in the east of the Middle Urals. To clarify these reconstructions, the description of rocks composition, the specific features of facies, and the deposit cyclicity are considered for the Ust'kodinka Formation sections. A number of facies and facies, associations are recognized in accord to the subaqueous sediment density flows model after P. J. Talling with coauthors. Facies associations are interpreted to be deposited within deep-water upper and middle fan including channels and levees. The clastic material seem to be derived from a microcontinent.
