Sustainable development as one of the priorities of Russia’s national security goals

Ensuring sustainable development is fundamental in the strategies of developed countries, therefore, the UN Sustainable Dynamic Development Goals have now become global directions, which define the development of a civilized society based on innovative developments while simultaneously meeting the biological, social and economic needs of citizens of the world community, as well as preserving and improving the environment. In the course of the conducted research, the essence of sustainable development and its terminological apparatus are revealed. When writing the work, an analysis of different approaches to the interpretation of the term sustainable development was carried out, the author’s interpretation of the concept of “sustainable development” was proposed as a proportionate development, which is an action of economic, environmental and social transformations in which the economical use of natural resources is aimed at investments in scientific and technological development, digitalization of the economy and national security, personnel security, personal development and social security of the country’s citizens. Within the framework of the study, the sustainable development Goals are considered from the point of view of their reflection in the normative documents of the United Nations and Russia. In the course of writing the work, recommendations have been drawn up that will improve social protection and medical care for people over 60 years of age and will promote their active life in society.
