Sustainable development of domestic renewable energy: strategic goals and support mechanism

The global energy market is undergoing an important stage of transformation, with increasing attention being paid to the development of renewable energy sources. Their dynamics in Russia over the past ten years has a constant, but uneven growth. The aim of the study: to reveal the meaningful characteristics of domestic renewable energy and its support mechanisms, to justify the priority areas of sustainable development of generating facilities. The article shows that the expansion of the scale-up of renewable energy sources (RES) by type is aimed at accelerating the modernization of the economy, increasing the level of energy security of the country. The key reasons for ensuring sustainability in this area and the problems of the development of domestic renewable energy are highlighted. The strategic goals of the sustainable development of domestic renewable energy are reasoned, taking into account the constraining and contributing factors of influence. The mechanism of RES support in the wholesale and retail markets with the characteristics of its parameters is presented on a systematic basis.
