Sustainable development of regions through human capital management: key indicators

This scientific article is devoted to the problem of studying the level of human capital at the regional level using the example of the central Federal District. The following indicators were selected as the main indicators for the study, which make it possible to track the level of both socio-economic and socio-demographic development of the regions: the level of employment, the level of well-being, the proportion of the population of working age, life expectancy at birth, preschool education coverage, the number of students enrolled in higher education programs per 10,000 inhabitants, commissioning of residential buildings per 1,000 people, the share of private enterprises in the total number of operating enterprises. due to the fact that not only quantitative components of human capital, but also qualitative indicators are of the greatest interest., Reflecting the peculiarities of the formation, development, and use of human resources, the article examines the factors influencing the development of human capital based on a socio-economic approach to human behavior. In general, there is an uneven distribution of indices, which affects the labor migration of the population in order to improve their well-being, and as a result, there is an outflow of young people from the regions to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
