Sustainable development of regions as the basis for the formation of an economic security system

Purpose of the study is to substantiate the significance of measures in the field of improving sustainable development for the regions of the Volga Federal District based on an assessment of economic security parameters and forecasting. Methods of comparative analysis of statistical indicators, rating assessment and forecasting were used. To increase the reliability of the application of the developed methodological approach to analyzing indicators of the economic security system, the use of factor and strategic analysis is proposed as a promising direction for further research.
