Stability of potato production in the Orel region

The sustainability of agricultural production is an indispensable requirement for the effective development of sectors of the national economy, but it is particularly important in agricultural production as the most vulnerable to the effects of negative factors. At the present stage of development, it has become obvious that increasing the sustainability of agricultural production requires scientifically grounded decisions that contribute to the creation of economic conditions for management. Improving the sustainability of production is of great economic and political importance, since agriculture is the basis for the growth of the efficiency of the functioning of the entire agro-industrial complex of the country, it forms the basis of the Russian economy. Since the agricultural industry produces essential goods, its sustainable development is of paramount importance in ensuring the food security of the state. In the agrarian sphere of production special relevance is acquired by a problem of overcoming consequences of recession of the outputs, transition to steady growth rates, expanded reproduction. Reproduction in agriculture represents a uniform complex of the economic relations connected with production, distribution, exchange and consumption of products and resources, relations to production. Despite the positive trends in the development of agriculture in Russia, there are still problems that require attention and in-depth research: this is a stable dependence on food imports, a low level of profitability of agricultural producers, the poor state of the material and technical base of infrastructure enterprises, and underutilization of production capacities. It is believed that the elimination and solution of these problems will increase the efficiency of the functioning of the agro-industrial complex in the new economic conditions.
